if you know it's important,
you have to do it

what students said about Anne-Marie Daniel at Stelly's

Today we were able to ask questions to Anne-marie Daniel. I found her to be my favorite of the three speakers. I really loved her ideas and perspectives on the world, and i really respect her and her strength. The idea of seizing the moment is one of the best pieces of advice some one can give you. The reason i believe having leaders speaking is essential is that it lets you hear there ideas and differences with out having to have their turmoil. No book or video can touch a person as deeply as a speaker right in front of you ready to answer your questions.

Today I have learnt many things from Anne Marie's presentation. Some ideas that stood out were:
- follow your ideas no matter how crazy it sounds
- choose the things you want to follow through on
- if you know it's important, you have to do it
- if you don't stand up for what you believe in, your rights and law will never change. So stand up for what you believe in!
- if you feel that something has to be done, you should go for it, even if people say you can do nothing about it
- believe in yourself
- it does not matter about the reading, what matters is what is inside people's thoughts and how they express them
- this has taught me to stand for my thoughts and ideas in terms of leadership
- a question that i would like my life to answer is: are you thinking about doing something in the future, that you will enjoy every single day?

The top ten ideas that I learned from Anne-marie Daniel:
1. Many of the experiences in your past reflect greatly on your future
2. Global warming is a more urgent problem than we may realize
3. More than 50% of green house gases are from a local source (ie your cars)
4. As a mediator sometimes it's necessary to "tip-toe" around some issues
5. If you're passionate about something then go for it
6. Being a mother is a lot like mediating in international affairs
7. sometimes it takes a while to figure out what you do well and enjoy as a profession
